Apreco relieve the pressureApreco relieve the pressure

Following a detailed market analysis Apreco have launched a new range of Pressure Relief Vents specifically aimed at the Gas Fire Suppression Market.

With inert gases and mixtures being supplied in high volumes to reduce oxygen concentration to suppress a fire, there is potential to cause structural damage if no means of pressure venting is provided. Buildings are most commonly designed to withstand internal pressures of 500Pa, though this can vary depending on the type of construction.

Maximum room pressure is controlled by the pressure relief vents opening to vent excess gas to escape, then closing when discharge is complete. This maintains the dilution of the air, so preventing re-ignition. The FSV has been designed to provide a market leading maximum free vent area of 85% from 100Pa and above.

The FSV Range has been extensively tested at the acclaimed Building Research Establishment (BRE), meeting the performance criteria for a 2 hour fire resistance test to EN1363-1. The range utilises quality materials and manufacturing techniques for levels of consistently, assured high quality. All FSV units are assembled in-house by our trained technicians to ensure quality control.

Attention to detail is the hallmark of any Apreco product, the FSV range continues with this philosophy; being designed to allow controlled thermal expansion in the event of a fire.

Standard sizes are available for both internal and external wall installation. The units can be purchased as standalone units or in kit form.
