Bashkortostan – One Dead In Gazprom Refinery Fire
A blaze broke out at Gazprom’s Salavat petrochemical plant on Tuesday, claiming the life of one worker.
The 160,000 barrel per day plant is operating normally despite the incident, Reuters said.
No other injuries or damages were reported.
State owned Gazprom said the fire started at the plant’s plant’s hydrotreater unit but the cause of the fire has not bee disclosed.
The plant is located in the Republic of Bashkortostan and produced 773.3 tons of gasoline, 2.55 billion tons of diesel and 1.3 billion tons of heating oil in 2013.
