Indonesia – Five Wounded in Coal Mine Explosion
TEMPO.CO, Padang-A coal mine of PT NAL in Parambahan, Talawi Sub-district, Sawahlunto City, West Sumatra, around 97 kilometers south of Padang City, has been reportedly exploded on Monday, June 27, 2016, at 10:30 p.m.
Reports said that at least five people were in the mine during the incident. Three of whom were reportedly in critical condition.
Ruly Firmansyah, a local, said that the three wounded victims who suffered burns have been sent to M. Djamil General Hospital Padang.
Police are still investigating the cause of the mine explosion. Local police had been evacuating the area to look into possibility of other victims.
The explosion was heard by locals. They immediately came to the location and found the five victims.
