MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. A large fire sparked at an oil refinery in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in the Khabarovsk Region on Monday afternoon, the regional directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry told TASS.
“The fire is raging there [at the plant] now. [The rescuers] deployed all forces and means there to extinguish the fire; the personnel is being evacuated now,” an Emergencies Ministry official told TASS.
According to the regional directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, the information about the fire was received at 12:50 local time (5:50 Moscow time). About 50 people and 14 pieces of equipment are involved in the fire-fighting operation. No injuries were reported.
